capital of imagination: Disneyworld, Oct 25 - Oct 29 at Disney's
Contemporary Resort in Orlando, FL. Please note that pre-registration

This year OOPSLA is proud to have Barbara Liskov, receiver of the 2009  
ACM Turing award, the highest honor in
Computer science, reprise her Turing Award lecture. Robert Johnson,  
one of the founders of Facebook, will also
give a keynote. Jeannette Wing, Assistant Director of the Computer and  
Information Science and Engineering
Directorate at the US National Science Foundation, will begin a  
conversation about how to make research better
in software engineering and programming languages. Gerard Holzmann,  
author of the SPIN model checker, will
talk about his experience working at NASA JPL, making spacecraft  
software reliable and safe.
We are also very excited to hear from Brion Vibber, CTO and lead  
developer of the Wikimedia Foundation.
There are also other exciting keynotes at co-located events, and 25  
excellent research papers addressing a wide
range of important new and well-established topics, including language  
design, concurrency, reliability, monitor-
ing, software tools, libraries, program evolution, program  
transformation, memory, and language implementation.
