Call for Papers
IEEE SRDS 2010
29th International Symposium on Reliable Distributed Systems
November 1-3, 2010, Delhi, INDIA
http://www.scs.ryerson.ca/iwoungan/SRDS2010/

For 29 years, the IEEE Symposium on Reliable Distributed Systems has been
a traditional forum for researchers and practitioners who are interested
in reliability, security, availability, privacy, and safety of systems and
networks.

We welcome original research papers as well as papers that deal
with design, development and experimental results of operational systems.
We are also soliciting papers for an experience track that presents
on-going industrial projects, prototype systems and exploratory or
emerging applications.

TOPICS OF INTEREST:
Papers in all system issues including the following are welcome:
• Security and privacy issues in wireless ad hoc and sensor networks
• Dependability in autonomic, pervasive and ubiquitous computing
• Support for trustworthy computing in operating systems and databases
• Scalable systems design and issues of trust in social networks
• Internet dependability and quality of service
• Safety-critical systems and critical infrastructures
• Dependability of high-speed networks and protocols
• Fault-tolerance in embedded systems, mobile, and multimedia systems
• Dependable wireless networks and peer-to-peer networks
• Intrusion-tolerant, survivable, and self-stabilizing systems
• Dependability in grid-, cluster-, and cloud computing
• Measurement, monitoring, and prediction in distributed systems
• Analytical or experimental evaluations of dependable distributed systems
• Formal methods and foundations for dependable distributed computing
• Performance and dependability assessing techniques, tools, and results

IMPORTANT DATES:
Paper registration, preliminary keywords & abstract (required): March 27,2010
Full Paper submission: April 10, 2010
Author notification: June 30, 2010
Camera-ready: July 20, 2010

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:
Papers must be written in English and can be submitted in the following
categories:
(1) Regular papers describing original research as well as design,
development and experimental results of operational systems.
(2) Practical experience reports describing on-going industrial projects,
prototype systems.
(3) Short papers on provocative topics or emerging research. Regular
papers and practical experience.

Reports should be no longer than 10 pages, following the IEEE two-column
format for conference proceedings, in font size no smaller than 10 points,
and must fit properly on US "Letter"-sized paper (8.5 x 11 inches).

Short papers should be limited to 5 pages. Submissions from students are
especially welcome.

Authors are requested to first register their submissions on the EDAS Tool

Accepted papers will appear in the symposium proceedings, which will be
published by the IEEE Computer Society.

BEST PAPER AWARD:
The symposium will highlight the best paper and best student paper award.
All papers accepted for presentation at the symposium will be evaluated by
the Awards Committee for the award.
