The University of Luxembourg seeks outstanding researchers for the
recently formed Interdisciplinary Centre for Security, Reliability and
Trust (SnT) http://www.securityandtrust.lu, carrying out
interdisciplinary research in secure, reliable and trustworthy ICT
(Information and Communication Technologies) systems and services, often
in collaboration with industrial, governmental or international
partners. SnT is active in several international research projects
funded by the EU 7th framework programme and the European Space Agency.
The Centre, and in particular, the Serval research group leaded by the
Prof. Yves Le Traon invites applications for:
*Postdoctoral researcher and PhD candidate positions (m/f)
Postdoctoral researcher position: *funded by an European project in the
Ambient-Assisted Living (AAL) framework. Research Areas: Security and
Privacy Modeling, Dynamic Adaptive System, Security Testing.
The duration of the postdoctoral position is 24 months and may be
extended up to five years. The University offers highly competitive
salaries based on the candidate's experience and is an equal opportunity
employer. You will work in an exciting international environment and

created university.
Other postdoctoral positions are open at the SnT.
More information on open positions and requirements can be found on
www.securityandtrust.lu
*PhD candidate positions: *in the domains of Security Testing (Access
Control, Android Permission, ...), Dynamic Adaptive System Testing,
Model Composition. Currently, the subjects of these funded PhD positions
are quite open, but examples of potential subjects are proposed below.
The duration of the PhD candidate position is 36 months and may be
extended up to a fourth year. The University offers highly competitive
salaries and is an equal opportunity employer. You will work in an

/*PhD Subject Description 1 (Ref: MITER)
*/The PhD thesis will take place in the MITER project. This project aims
at developing new modeling techniques to 1) represent security concerns
(e.g. access control and usage control policies), 2) compose them with
the business logic model (called target model), and 3) test the security
model composition against security requirements. These three objectives
converge to an integrated model-driven security process which allows a
business model to embed various security concerns, and makes these
security properties testable by construction. In other words, the MITER
project should allow the trustfully design of a large family of secure
systems in an automatic and efficient way.
/*PhD Subject Title 2 (Ref: AccessControl) in collaboration with Prof.
Tao Xie from North Carolina State University, Raleigh, USA".*/
Model transformation across different policy models and reverse
engineering of policy models.
More information on open positions and requirements can be found on
www.securityandtrust.lu
Applicants should send their application in electronic form to:
*yves.letraon at uni.lu and jacques.klein at uni.lu* (snt-jobs at uni.lu in cc)
Applications will be handled in strict confidence.
