CALL FOR PAPERS (REMINDER)
ICSM 2012 - 28th IEEE International Conference on Software Maintenance
September 23-30 2012, Riva del Garda, Trento, Italy
EARLY RESEARCH ACHIEVEMENTS (ERA) TRACK
http://selab.fbk.eu/icsm2012/index.php?p=era_track
ICSM is the premiere international venue in software maintenance and
evolution, where participants from academia, government, and industry
meet and share ideas and experiences for solving critical software
maintenance problems.
The goal of the Early Research Achievements (ERA) track is to provide
research and practitioners with a forum for presenting great ideas in
early stages of research. The proposed ideas and promising work
submitted to this track do not require to have been empirically
evaluated. The topics of interest for this track are the same as the
main research track and concern all the topics in the research and
practice of software maintenance and evolution. Papers submitted to
the ERA must not have been previously accepted for publication or
submitted for review to another conference, journal, or book.
ICSM 2012 will be held in Riva del Garda, Trento, Italy. Riva del
Garda is a small city located at the northwestern corner of Lake
Garda, in the middle of the Alps. Riva is bordered by Mount Rocchetta
to the west and Monte Brione to the east. However, due to the presence
of the lake, the weather favors the Mediterranean vegetation: lemon,
olive, and palm trees; Riva is an oasis of Mediterranean at the foot
of the Brenta Dolomites.
We invite short papers on great ideas in early stages of research.
Participants will present a summary of their work in form of a
presentation and a poster. Accepted papers will be published in the
ICSM proceedings and the IEEE Digital Library.
TOPICS
Topics of interest include but are not limited to:
- Reverse engineering and re-engineering
- Program and system comprehension
- Static and dynamic analysis
- Concept, feature and aspect location
- Clone, similarity and code provenance
- Software migration and renovation
- Mining software repositories
- Change and defect management
- Maintenance and evolution processes
- Maintenance and reengineering of business models
- Run-time evolution and update
- Empirical studies in software maintenance and evolution
- Testing, only in relation to maintenance (i.e., regression testing)
