32nd International Symposium on Reliable Distributed Systems, IEEE SRDS 2013
September 30 - October 3, 2013. Braga, Portugal

The Symposium on Reliable Distributed Systems is a forum for researchers and practitioners interested in distributed systems design, development and evaluation, particularly with emphasis on reliability, availability, safety, security, trust and real time. We welcome original research papers as well as practical experience reports that deal with design, development and experimental results of operational systems.

Abstract submission: April 2, 2013
Full paper submission: April 8, 2013
Authors notification: June 18, 2013
Camera-ready: July 15, 2013
Workshops: September 30, 2013
Conference: October 1-3, 2013

The major areas of interest include, but are not limited to, the following:

Cloud computing and virtualization: X-as-a-Service
Autonomic, pervasive and ubiquitous computing
Parallel and distributed operating systems
Distributed objects and middleware systems
Dependable communication networks, QoS control and assessment
Fault-tolerant and secure sensor nets and machine-to-machine communication
Internet-based systems and applications
Distributed databases and transaction processing
Distributed multimedia systems
Privacy-assuring large scale data management systems
Enabling technologies for dependable applications, including intelligent transport systems and smart energy grids
Formal methods and foundations for dependable distributed computing
Analytical or experimental evaluations of dependable distributed systems
Distributed algorithms
Secure and trusted systems
High-assurance and safety-critical system design and evaluation

The symposium will highlight the best paper. All papers accepted for presentation at the symposium will be evaluated by the Best Paper Award Co-Chairs for the award.

Please see the submission page for information. Accepted papers will appear in the symposium proceedings, which will be published by the IEEE Computer Society.

Workshops will be held in conjunction with SRDS 2013 on September 30, 2013.
