The 13th IEEE International Conference on Scalable Computing and Communication (ScalCom2013)
                             Nov. 15th - 17th, 2013, Chengdu, Sichuan, China
Scalability is a primary consideration in the design and implementation of computing and communication
systems. The rapid increase in the volume of information that needs to be processed by computers necessitates
new architectures, software, algorithms, and tools to improve scalability.
ScalCom2013 will be held on Nov. 15th-17th, 2013 in Chengdu, Sichuan, China. ScalCom2013 aims at providing an
international forum for researchers and practitioners to discuss original ideas on all aspects of scalability in
computing. ScalCom2013 is soliciting original, previously unpublished work addressing research challenges and presenting
advances in the design and implementation of scalable computing and communication systems.
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to the following, and the detail information for each track could be found
 in ScalCom2013 website: (http://umc.uestc.edu.cn/conference/uscience2013 ).
 ● Scalable modeling and simulation
 ● Data intensive computing
 ● Multi-core and computer architectures
 ● Cluster, Grid and Cloud computing
 ● Scalable algorithms
 ● Scalable networks
 ● Scalable service computing
 ● Scalable databases
 ● scalable wireless communications
 ● scalability in networking infrastructures
 ● scalable evolutionary computing
 ● scalable cyberinfrastructures
 ● Mobile Computing and Networking
 ● Scalability issues on multicore architecture
 ● Scalability issues on performance modeling and evaluation
Submission Deadline: Jul. 01st, 2013
Author Notification: Aug. 15th, 2013

Registration Deadline: Sep. 10th, 2013
The ScalCom2013 Organizing Committee invites proposals for one-day workshops affiliated with the conference and addressing
research areas related to the conference. The workshop proceedings will be published by IEEE CS Press. Submit workshop
proposals to workshops chairs via emails.
Prepare your paper in PDF file with no more than 8 pages for main conference and 6 pages for workshops/symposia. Submit
your paper(s) at the ScalCom2013 submission site: scalcom2013 at gmail.com
Each submission should be regarded as an undertaking that, if the paper be accepted, at least one of the authors
must attend the conference to present the work.
Accepted and presented papers will be included into the IEEE Conference Proceedings published by IEEE CS Press (indexed by EI).
Distinguished papers accepted and presented in ScalCom2013, after further extensions, will be published in special issues of several SCI/EI Indexed journals.
