The Department of Computer Science, Iowa State University invites applications for a postdoctoral fellow position. The initial position is for one year with a possibility of extension up to three years. The position requires a Ph.D. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related field and outstanding potential for research in computer science. Candidates who are in the final stages of obtaining a Ph.D. will also be considered.

We would like to hire immediately; however, a later start date is possible, depending on the candidate’s timetable.

The position is in the Panini project that is aimed at improving concurrent software engineering by enabling modular reasoning about concurrent software via synergistic advances in linguistic abstractions and verification mechanisms. Qualifications
- Required: a PhD in computer science, software engineering and related discipline.
- Required: strong background in either software engineering OR programming languages
- Required: at least one publication in top-tier SE/PL venues.
- Preferred: strong background in compilers, program analysis, and concurrency.
