17th International Conference on Middleware 2016 -- December 12-16


**Early registration closes on October 31** for this year's ACM/IFIP/USENIX Middleware conference to be held in Trento, Italy.


Travel grants are also available, thanks to generous donations of our supporters (DellEMC, IBM Research, Orange, RedHat, Raytheon BBN):


The main conference will be held on December 14-16 (Wed-Fri) and includes: 

* Keynotes from distinguished speakers:
  - Quantum Middleware: The Key to Quantum Computing in the Cloud
    Colin P. Williams - D-Wave Systems Inc, Canada
  - Record Management in the Cloud: "Keep it Cheap Stupid"
    David Lomet, Microsoft Research, USA

* A world-class technical program with academic and industry papers covering technologies including, among others, publish/subscribe, SGX, Storm, cloud computing, software-defined storage, distributed stream processing, virtualization.

* A session with twenty-eight (28!) posters and demos, which will also be presented during a "1-minute madness" in the main track. 

The pre-conference program on December 12-13 (Mon-Tue) includes:

- 15th Workshop on Adaptive and Reflective Middleware (ARM)
- 3rd Workshop on Middleware for Context-Aware Applications in the IoT (M4IoT)

- 2nd Workshop on Smart Cities: People, Technology and Data (SmartCities)
