Introduction
The SpaCCS 2017 conference is the 10th event in the series of conferences which are devoted to security, privacy and anonymity in computation, communication and storage. SpaCCS is now recognized as the main regular event of the world that is covering many dimensions including security algorithms and architectures, privacy-aware policies, regulations and techniques, anonymous computation and communication, encompassing fundamental theoretical approaches, practical experimental projects, and commercial application systems for computation, communication and storage. As applications of computer systems and networks have permeated in every aspect of our daily life, the issues of security, privacy, and anonymity have become increasingly critical. The conference will provide a forum for the world-class researchers to gather and share their research achievements, emerging ideas and trends in the highly challenging research fields.
Following the traditions of previous successful SpaCCS conferences, held in Zhangjiajie, China (2016), Helsinki, Finland (2015), Beijing, China (2014), Melbourne, Australia (2013), Liverpool, UK (2012), and Changsha, China (2011), the 10th International Conference on Security, Privacy and Anonymity in Computation, Communication and Storage (SpaCCS 2017) will be held in Guangzhou, China, December 12-15, 2017. The conference aims at bringing together researchers and practitioners in the world working in the research fields of computation, communication and storage, with regard to security, privacy, and anonymity aspects of computer systems and networks. SpaCCS 2017 will focus on three broad areas of computation, communication, and storage, i.e. architectures, algorithms, techniques, and applications for security, privacy and anonymity.

Submission and Publication Information
All papers need to be submitted electronically through the conference website (https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=spaccs2017) with PDF format. Submitted papers must not substantially overlap with papers that have been published or that are simultaneously submitted to a journal or a conference with proceedings. Papers must be clearly presented in English, must not exceed 14 pages in Springer LNCS format (http://www.springer.com/cn/computer-science/lncs/conference-proceedings-guidelines) (or up to 20 pages with the pages over length charge), including tables, figures, references and appendices. Papers will be selected based on their originality, significance, relevance, and clarity of presentation assessed by at least three reviewers. Submission of a paper should be regarded as a commitment that, should the paper be accepted, at least one of the authors will register and attend the conference to present the work. SpaCCS 2017 reserves the right to exclude a paper from distribution after the conference (e.g., removal from the digital library and indexing services), if the paper is not presented at the conference. All accepted papers will be published by Springer LNCS (EI Indexed). Two outstanding papers will be selected to receive the Best Paper Awards.

Part II: Call for Workshop Proposals, SpaCCS 2017, Guangzhou, China, December 12-15, 2017
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Call for Workshop Proposals
The SpaCCS 2017 Workshops provide vibrant opportunities for academic researchers and industry practitioners to share their research experiences, original research achievements and practical development products on specific new challenges and emerging issues. The themes of the SpaCCS 2017 Workshops should be related to the scopes of the SpaCCS 2017 main conference, reflecting to advances in all aspects of security, privacy and anonymity of computing systems, communication networks and storage services.
The organizers of the SpaCCS 2017 Workshops shall have responsibility of soliciting call for papers, forming program committee on reviewing and selection of papers as well as planning workshop program. The registration fees for workshops will be determined by and paid to the main conference other than the workshops. The main conference will provide workshop facilities including the working notes printing, meeting rooms, coffee breaks, lunches, dinners, proceedings, etc.
The proceedings of the SpaCCS 2017 Workshops will be published by Springer LNCS (Lecture Notes in Computer Science) in SpaCCS 2017 Workshops Proceedings (indexed by EI Compendex).
Prospective Workshop Organizers should send a proposal containing the following information to SpaCCS 2016 Workshop Chairs via email by May 15, 2017:
- Title of the workshop (Full name and Abbreviation)
- Objectives, scope, and contribution to the main conference (up to 1 page)
- Short bio of the key organizers and their experience on conference/workshop organization
- Procedures for selecting papers, plans for advertising call for papers, and intentions for organizing journal special issues if possible
- The expected number of participants
- A tentative list of program committee members
- The workshop website URL address if available
Approved workshops should strictly follow the Important Dates of the main conference, particularly the Author Notification Date (September 15, 2017) and the Camera-ready Paper Due Date (October 15, 2017). The submission deadline could be later than that of the main conference. But, a workshop should have sufficient time, say 5-7 weeks, for generating peer reviews. Generally, each paper should receive 2 or 3 peer reviews.
Look forward to your stimulating proposals and contributions to SpaCCS 2017 Workshops!
