One full-time research post-doc position is available in the Research
Programme P2 - Advanced computer and information systems of the NTIS
research centre (http://ntis.zcu.cz/en/o_centru/programy/) at the
University of West Bohemia, located in Pilsen, Czech Republic, for an
enthusiastic individual to carry out innovative research in the field of
computer science with the focus on methods for analysis and verification of
software systems, projects and processes.
The main role is to carry out innovative research in the field leading to
journal and conference publications, having a potential to develop an
internationally leading profile. The work will be performed under
mentoring of Assoc. Prof. Premek Brada as part of the research group
Reliable Software Architectures; see http://relisa.kiv.zcu.cz/areas/ .
The position offered is full-time for the period of 6 months.
Salary proposed: 63 000 CZK gross monthly wage (approx. EUR 2450 / month).
Expected commencement of work: 1st October 2018 or as soon as possible
- a properly completed Doctoral Study Programme at university or higher
education institution in the Czech Republic or a properly completed similar
Study Programme abroad recognized in accordance with Act No. 111/1998
Coll., on Higher Education Institutions and on the Amendment and
Supplementation of Other Acts (Higher Education Act)
- good knowledge of English (at least at the C1 level according to
- experience with research in one or more of: component or
service-oriented software architectures, static analysis, testing, project
methodologies, repository mining, or related;
- proficiency with at least one high-level programming language,
- good ability to communicate effectively and collaborate within a team
Due to the strict eligibility requirements of funding under the Mobility
3.0 project, the candidate for the position
- must have their PhD degree (or similar) received after 1 July 2011 ,
- must be a researcher from abroad, i.e. a researcher who has worked
outside the Czech Republic for at least two years during the prior three
years in the field of research, including at least half work load, or has
been a PhD (or similar forms) student abroad; citizens of the Czech
Republic are not excluded,
- must provide at least 2 publication outputs over the last 3 years .
