Montreal is a dynamic, multicultural, scientific, technological, and cultural metropolis, with over 200000 students, attending four major universities, and many research institutes, a thriving high-tech industry (IT, aeronautics, pharmaceutical), and an effervescent year-around cultural scene. It is also one of the safest, most affordable cities in North America.

Québec and Canada have a number of research funding agencies that fund collaborative research with industry (FRQ, MITACS, NSERC, PROMPT, etc.) through various generous matching funds programs.

Interested candidates are invited to submit electronically their cover letter (addressed to the hiring committee), resume, teaching statement, research statement, and a sample of four publications, and arrange to have three letters of reference sent directly to the faculty search committee at dept.info at uqam.ca.
