<div><br></div><div>Chairs: Engin Kirda (EURECOM), Thorsten Holz (University of Mannheim)</div><div><br></div><div>The BADGERS workshop is intended to encourage the development of large</div><div>scale security-related data collection and analysis initiatives. It</div>
<div>will provide an environment to describe already existing real-world,</div><div>large-scale datasets, and to share with the systems community the</div><div>return on experiences acquired by analyzing such collected data.</div>
<div>Furthermore, novel approaches to collect and study such data sets are</div><div>welcome.</div><div><br></div><div>Submission deadline: January 31st</div><div>Authors notification: February 20th</div><div><br></div>

<div><br></div><div>EuroSec is a recent workshop associated with the Annual ACM SIGOPS</div><div>EuroSys conference. The workshop aims to bring together researchers,</div><div>practitioners, system administrators, system programmers, and others</div>
<div>interested in the latest advances in the security of computer systems</div><div>and networks. The focus of the workshop is on novel, practical,</div><div>systems-oriented work.</div><div><br></div><div>Paper submission: February 7th, 2011, 23:59, PST</div>
<div>Acceptance notification: March 1, 2011</div><div><br></div><div>5. WRiSE'11: Workshop on Rigorous Systems Engineering</div><div><a href="http://fmv.jku.at/wrise11" target="_blank">http://fmv.jku.at/wrise11</a></div>
<div><br></div>
<div>Chairs: Armin Biere (Johannes Kepler University), Leonid Ryzhyk (National ICT)</div><div><br></div><div>This workshop provides a platform for the exchange of ideas between</div><div>systems research and formal methods. Recent years have seen tremendous</div>
<div>increase in reasoning power of formal verification techniques. We</div><div>particular interested in contributions that ''cross the border'',</div><div>which either apply established, adapted or new formal techniques to</div>
<div>computer systems or use precise formal modelling within systems</div><div>research. Systems papers, which show the need for formal reasoning,</div><div>would be equally interesting.</div><div><br></div><div>Submission February 6</div>
<div>Notification March 6</div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div>6. SNS'11: 4th Workshop on Social Network Systems</div><div><a href="http://research.microsoft.com/ldg/sns2011.aspx" target="_blank">http://research.microsoft.com/ldg/sns2011.aspx</a></div>
<div><br></div><div>Chairs: Sameh Elnikety (Microsoft Research), Eiko Yoneki (University</div><div>of Cambridge)</div><div><br></div><div>The fourth workshop on Social Network Systems (SNS'11) will gather</div><div>researchers to discuss novel ideas about computer systems and social</div>
<div>networks. Online social networks are among the most popular sites on</div><div>the Web and continue to grow rapidly. They provide mechanisms to</div><div>establish identities, share information, and create relationships. The</div>
<div>resulting social graph provides a basis for communicating,</div><div>distributing and locating content. This workshop will focus on the</div><div>systems issues of online social networks, including the following: 1.</div>
<div>Infrastructure support for social networks (including distributed</div><div>systems, databases, and storage systems). 2. Ways of leveraging social</div><div>networks in systems design. 3. Measurement and analysis of existing</div>
<div>deployed social networks.</div><div><br></div><div>Paper submission: 18 February 2011</div><div>Acceptance notification: 4 March 2011</div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div>7. EuroDW'11 5th EuroSys Doctoral Workshop</div>
<div><a href="http://www.cl.cam.ac.uk/research/srg/netos/eurosys11dw" target="_blank">http://www.cl.cam.ac.uk/research/srg/netos/eurosys11dw</a></div><div><br></div><div>Chairs: Peter Dickman (Google), Eiko Yoneki (University of Cambridge)</div>
<div><br></div><div>The EuroSys Doctoral Workshop will provide a forum for PhD students at</div><div>any stage of their doctoral studies, to present their work and receive</div><div>constructive feedback from experts in the field as well as from peers.</div>
<div>Technical presentations will be augmented with general advice and</div><div>discussions about getting a PhD, doing research, and post-doctoral</div><div>careers.</div><div><br></div><div>Submissions due: 11th February 2011</div>
<div>Acceptance notification: 21st February 2011</div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div>8. RED'11 Rigorous Embedded Design</div><div><br></div><div>Chairs: Saddek Bensalem (University Joseph Fourier), Axel Legay (INRIA</div>
<div>Rennes), Marius Bozga (VERIMAG)</div><div><br></div><div>The objective of the workshop is to discuss new methodologies for the</div><div>rigorous design of embedded systems. Through a series of invited</div><div>talks, the workshop will survey some of the challenges and emerging</div>
<div>approaches in the area. A series of design flows will be presented.</div><div>The workshop will mainly discuss performance analysis, correctness</div><div>(high confidence and security), code generation, and modeling aspects</div>
<div>(including timed scheduling and software/hardware interactions). Those</div><div>concepts shall be illustrated with examples coming from the</div><div>aeronautic, automotive, and robotic areas. Interactions between</div>
<div>industrials and academic researchers will be facilitated through a</div><div>series of open discussion sessions (maybe an interaction between</div><div>theoretical and more practical presentations).</div><div><br></div>
