SAE 2011Call for Papers ******************************************************************************** The FTRA International Workshop on Security and Application for Embedded smart systems (SAE 2011) web.ftrai.org/sae2011 Gwangju, Korea, October 20-22, 2011 In conjunction with ITCS 2011 (www.ftrai.org/itcs2011) ******************************************************************************** ==================== Introduction ==================== The SAE 2011 will be the most comprehensive workshop focused on the various aspects of Security and Application for Embedded smart systems (SAE 2011). The SAE 2011 provides a forum for academic and industry professionals to present novel ideas on SAE. In addition, the workshop will publish high quality papers which are closely related to the various theories, modeling, and practical applications in SAE. Furthermore, we expect that the workshop and its publications will be a trigger for further related research and technology improvements in this important subject. ==================== Topics ==================== The topics of interest include, but are not limited to: - Embedded architecture, software & network - Embedded real-time, intelligent & distributed systems - Embedded smart systems middleware - Embedded mobile computing - Embedded low-power computing - Wireless sensor networks & RFID systems - Safety, fault-tolerance or trusted embedded smart systems - Trust models for secure embedded hardware and software - System architectures for secure embedded smart systems - Security concerns for medical and other applications of embedded smart systems - Smart security services and secure governance services - Basic security primitives: block ciphers, stream ciphers, hash functions, MAC algorithms, public-key ciphers, etc. - Security protocols - Support for intellectual property protection and anti-counterfeiting - Specialized components for authentication, key storage and key generation - Implementation attacks and countermeasures - Design tools for secure embedded hardware and software - Specialized hardware support for security protocols ==================== Important Dates ==================== Paper submission due: May 20, 2011 Notification of acceptance: July 10, 2011 Camera-ready paper & early registration due: August 1, 2011 Workshop: October 20 - 22, 2011 ================================= Paper Submissions and Proceedings ================================= There will be a combination of presentations including scientific papers. Prospective authors are invited, in the first instance, to submit papers for oral presentations in any of the areas of interest for this workshop. Authors should submit a paper with 6-8 pages in length, including all figures, tables, and references. If you want to submit more than page limitation, you can add up to 2 extra pages with the appropriate fee payment. Every submitted paper will be carefully reviewed by at least three members of the International Program Committee. Please use the Springer Proceedings format for submission. Template is available here: http://www.springer.com/computer/lncs?SGWID=0-164-6-793341-0) All accepted papers will be included in the conference proceedings as one of Lecture Notes in Electrical Engineering (LNEE) series published by Springer (indexed by EI) (Pending).
