========================================================================</p><p>The Doctoral Consortium of the 7th International Conference on Web<br>Reasoning and Rules Systems (RR 2013) will provide doctoral students in<br>
Web Reasoning and related areas with the unique opportunity to present<br>and discuss their research directions, being involved into<br>state-of-the-art research discussion and being supported in<br>establishing fruitful collaborations with prominent researchers and<br>
pioneers the field of Web Reasoning and Rules and related areas.</p><p>The co-location of RR 2013 with the Reasoning Web Summer School and with<br>other relevant related events will provide multiple opportunities for<br>participating students to enhance their education.</p>
<p>The Consortium will allow participants to interact with established<br>researchers through the following initiatives:</p><p>- The poster presentation session accompanied by a written research<br> summary, which will be distributed at the conference. The poster<br>
presentation session will be preceded by a spotlight presentations<br> session where poster presenters give 5-minute teaser talks as<br> advertisement for their posters.</p><p>- The mentoring lunch will consist of a lunch break where a senior<br>
researcher shares a lunch table with 3-4 students. The researcher will<br> be charged with initiating and driving a discussion on general topics<br> concerning research, career, and Web Reasoning as a discipline. He will<br>

- Grant Notification: May 15th, 2013<br>- Camera Ready: May 20th, 2013</p><p>==============================<br>Submission Information<br>==============================</p><p>To apply for participation to the RR 2013 Doctoral Consortium students<br>
are asked to submit</p><p>1. A research summary (max 6 pages) of their PhD research addressing<br> the following aspects:<br> - Applicant's complete name, address and affiliation as well as the<br> title of the research<br>
- The main problem you are trying to tackle and why it is relevant<br> - What is the state-of-the-art in relation to existing solutions to<br> the problem<br> - Advances beyond the state-of-the-art in terms of your specific<br>
contribution and research plan<br> - Current status of the research plan<br> - Expected achievements and possible evaluation metrics to<br> establish the level of success of your results<br> - References</p><p>
2. A statement of interest in participating to the Doctoral Consortium<br> (less than 1 page, uploaded as an attachment)</p><p>Both the research summary and the attachment must be in PDF format and<br>be formatted according to the Springer Publications format for Lecture<br>
Notes in Computer Science (LNCS).</p><p>Submission will be managed via Easychair. Details coming soon.</p><p>All the accepted contributions have to be presented.</p><p>The best submissions will present their work as regular (15 min)<br>
presentation, and they will be given the option to have their research<br>summaries included in the conference proceedings (Springer LNCS). All<br>the other accepted submissions will be presented at the poster<br>presentation session, preceded by the 5-min talk. Students whose work<br>
has been accepted at the poster presentation session should prepare a<br>poster as well in A0 portrait format (more details provided soon).</p><p>Students presenting a poster to the Reasoning Web Summer School can use<br>
the same poster for the DC if accepted as short presentations.</p><p>==============================================<br>Grants & Awards for U.S. students attending RR<br>==============================================</p>
<p>The organizing committee is considering the possibility of offering<br>scholarships to participants from the U.S. to partially cover<br>registration and/or accommodation fees, depending on available<br>sponsorships. Details will be announced as soon as we have more<br>
