<br>CALL FOR PAPERS
<br>=====================================================================
<br>Machine-to-machine communication is considered as the next
technology revolution. It involves a huge number of autonomous smart
machines, sharing information and collaborating together. M2M technology
encompasses a large spectrum of applications ranging from e-health and
biomedical sensor networks, to vehicular technology, smart grid and
advanced metering infrastructures. As the voice revenue is in constant
decrease, Telecom operators are energetically supporting this new
technology as it is one of the most promising revenue-generating
service.
<br> <br>From a standardization point of view, the M2M paradigm is still
in its infancy. Both ETSI and 3GPP standards do not provide a seamless
and unified M2M architecture, which is a sine qua none condition to the
healthy and sustained development of the M2M market. Furthermore, the
spreading of M2M technologies still hinge on fully providing a secure
and fault-tolerance to M2M communications. Finally, in a single M2M
network might coexist several radio technologies (Zigebee, bluetooth,
UWB, WiFi and Femtocell...), which could dramatically impact M2M
channels with fluctuation and noise.
<br> <br>This workshop aims to gather researchers, engineers and
practitioners both from academia and industry as well as end users who
aim to present recent advances on Machine-to-Machine communications.
<br> <br>Original contributions on Machine-to-Machine communications are
solicited. The workshop proposes to address, but is not limited to, the
following topics related to M2M communications, paradigms, frameworks
and innovative applications:
<br> <br>- M2M Standardization progress
<br>- Spectrum management for M2M
<br>- Green M2M communication
<br>- M2M system architecture and components
<br>- Security, trust and privacy of M2M devices and services
<br>- Mobility management for M2M
<br>- M2M and information centric networking
<br>- Reliability management for M2M
<br>- Medium access technologies and protocols for M2M communication
<br>- M2M traffic models
<br>- M2M and Smart Grid
<br>- M2M and vehicular technology
<br>- M2M and smart homes
<br>- Cloud support for M2M applications
<br>- New M2M applications, services, and business models
<br>- M2M testbed and field trials

<br> <br>- Paper Length
<br> <br>Submitted manuscripts should not exceed 8 pages in length including all figures, tables and references.
<br> <br> <br>- Paper Format
<br> <br>The submitted paper must be formatted according to the
guidelines of Procedia Computer Science, MS Word Template, Latex,
Elsevier.
<br> <br>- Paper Submission
<br> <br>Authors are requested to submit their papers electronically
using the online workshop management system in PDF format before the
deadline (see Important Dates).
<br> <br>The submission processes will be managed by <a href="http://easychair.org" target="_blank">easychair.org</a>.
If you have used this system before, you can use the same username and
password. If this is your first time using EasyChair, you will need to
register for an account by clicking "I have no EasyChair account"
button. Upon completion of registration, you will get a notification
email from the system and you are ready for submitting your paper. You
can upload and re-upload the paper to the system by the submission due
date.
