The goal of the research project is to combine program analysis and machine learning to define models measuring test effort. The primary development work will be the development of techniques to analyse the impact of changes on the program and on test cases. The research associate will have the opportunity to collaborate with IBM, Edinburgh on this project. </div>
<div><br></div><div>The post is being funded as part of an EPSRC project and is available from 1 July 2014 for 12 months with a possible extension. Application deadline for this post is 1 June 2014. </div><div><br></div><div>
To apply, the following qualifications/skills are #required#, </div><div>•<span class="" style="white-space:pre">        </span>a PhD in Computer Science, or be nearing the completion of your PhD studies, in a topic that relates well to this research project; </div>
<div>•<span class="" style="white-space:pre">        </span>strong programming and software design skills. </div><div><br></div><div>It would be #desirable# for you to also have the following: </div><div>•<span class="" style="white-space:pre">        </span>Experience in program analysis</div>
<div>•<span class="" style="white-space:pre">        </span>Background in empirical software engineering or statistical analysis</div><div>•<span class="" style="white-space:pre">        </span>Background in machine learning.</div><div>
