The professor position is intended to complement and strengthen the existing research expertise in the Computer Science and Communication Research Unit (CSC) of the Faculty of Science, Technology and Communication (FSTC) at the University of Luxembourg. He
or she will reinforce and expand the activities of the RU in the field of Big Data. Big data refers to the storage, aggregation and analysis of massive amounts of structured and unstructured data, including machine learning and data mining. </div>

<div>The professor may be specialized in specific application domains of Big Data, for instance in relation with the "Computational Science” priority of the FSTC, or the Luxembourg Centre of Systems Biomedicine (LCSB ) and Interdisciplinary Centre of Security
and Trust (SnT) research centers.</div>
