-------------------------------------------------

The VL/HCC organisers welcome proposals for Satellite Workshops and

human-centric computing. These may be half-day or full-day events and
will be held either on the 21st September 2010 or on the 25th
September 2010, either side of the main VL/HCC 2010 conference.
Preference will be give to workshops that have the potential for
bringing together researchers and practitioners from other communties
to generate discussions with the VL/HCC community, thereby potentially
facilitating new directions for research. Tutorials should aim to
provide practical instruction in a particular research method or
technical approach, at a level suitable for graduate students or
researchers moving into a new field.

Workshop proposals should include the following information:

  * Title of workshop
  * workshop outline or preliminary call for papers (one page)
  * tentative program committee
  * planned submission selection process
  * format of submissions
  * format of workshop (1/2 day, full day)
  * estimated number of participants (between 15 and 40 persons)
  * short bios of organizers (including contact addresses)
  * possible sponsors for workshop
  * publication plans (e.g. proceedings, or follow-up special issues)

In particular, the workshop outline should include a desciption of the
overall topic of the workshop, indicate why this topic is of
particular interest at this time, and to whom, and state its relevance
to VL/HCC 2010. If the workshop has been organized in the past, please
give details (including URL) and describe why it should be held again
and what improvements will be made.
