- Post-doc/ research fellow proposal:

IRIT (Institut de Recherche en Informatique de Toulouse) was founded in 
1990. Since then, it plays a prominent role in Toulouse computer science 
research. It gathers together more than 500 members among which 400 
researchers, faculty members, and Ph.D. students affiliated to CNRS 
(Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique), INPT (Institut National 
Polytechnique de Toulouse), UPS (Université Paul Sabatier), UT1 
(Université Toulouse 1 Sciences Sociales) and UTM (Université Toulouse 
le Mirail). Research at IRIT covers most of the fields where computer 
and information science is in progress, be it in its core, ranging from 
computer architecture to software engineering and computer networks, or 
in its most contemporary developments like artificial intelligence and 
cognitive systems, multimedia man-machine interaction, image 
interpretation and synthesis. IRIT has long experience in participating 
and managing collaborative and networking projects.

Within IRIT, MACAO team (http://www.irit.fr/-Equipe-MACAO-) focuses its 
researches on on Model Driven Software Engineering (MDE) and 
Component-based Software Engineering (CBSE). The diversity of skills of 
its members allows it to study a large set of paradigms of programming 
including objects / components, formal methods applied to the MDE, 
process development and modeling real-time, and the integration of these 
paradigms in a method of design and engineering systems. MACAO team is 
an active actor within the community working on software development 
based on model transformations.

In the context of collaborative projects  with key academic and 
industrial partners, one-year postdoctoral position is opened in the 
IRIT-MACAO  team.  We are seeking candidates which should have a good 
background in model driven
engineering domain interested in one or more of the following topics:

*Security  and dependability patterns
*Component based software engineering
*Engineering process
*Resource constrained embedded systems
*Platform dependent implementation

- Expertise:
The required profile includes a background/interest in model driven 
engineering  and a good knowledge of written and oral English. The 
following expertise is especially considered:

* Experience in system modeling
* Experience in programming in major languages (C, C++, Java)
* Experience in working independently and in team

- Duration and salary:
We offer positions for one year that can extend up to 2 years with 
salaries reaching highest levels according to the candidate experience.
