               COMPSAC2012 - Industry Track

The 36th Annual International Computer Software and
Applications Conference (www.compsac.org)

Izmir, Turkey, 16-20 July 2012

Sponsored by IEEE and the IEEE Computer Society

Submission Deadline Ends 20th April 2012
---------------------------------------------------------------

Aims and Scope
---------------
The Industry Track is the forum for high quality experience reports and case studies focused on innovative software technologies in practice. This track covers all facets of computer software from traditional industries like transportation, finance, energy, telecommunications, healthcare, and engineering to emerging areas like smart computing, cloud computing, mobile & pervasive computing as described in the list of topics of the COMPSAC 2012 main conference. Experience reports, position papers, or case studies representing results of partnerships between industry and academia are of substantial interest. We also encourage submissions on experiences with innovative applications. Submissions that do not relate to commercial software or industrial-strength software intended for wide use are discouraged.

Submission
---------------
Submissions to the industrial track may be either a short paper with no more than 6 pages, or an extended abstract including an abstract of no more than 2 pages and an appended slide presentation with no more than 15 slides printed by two slides per page. Industry track papers and extended abstracts must report on practical applications of software technologies. Please follow IEEE Computer Society Press Proceedings Author Guidelines to prepare your submission. Submissions that do not comply with the foregoing instructions will be rejected without review.
We invite submission for the industrial track to be submitted electronically via the COMPSAC 2012 submission website. Detailed instructions for submission will be available at http://www.compsac.org. Each submission will be reviewed by at least two members of the Program Committee. Acceptance criteria will be innovativeness of software, quality of presentation, and the potential of impact. The industrial track committee will contact potential speakers upon review of proposals for further details and evaluation, if clarification is needed.
For each proposal invited for a talk, either an abstract or a full paper will be published in the electronic proceedings by the IEEE Computer Society. Authors of all accepted extended abstract proposals will be expected to provide an electronic copy of their slides for inclusion into the COMPSAC2012 website after the conference. In order to enable indexing through INSPEC and EI Index, and inclusion in the IEEE digital library, a paper must be presented in person by one of its authors.
