Associate Professor Position at Univ. Toulouse 3 (IUT A) and LAAS-CNRS is open for applications

Profile Education: IT - Programming
Research team at LAAS-CNRS:
Services and Architectures for Advanced Networks (SARA) http://www.laas.fr/SARA
Details and contacts (research and teaching) http://www.laas.fr/files/fiches-de-poste/MCF1770.pdf
For outreach research at LAAS-CNRS, email to: mcf1770 at laas.fr

Research Profile Details: The research area is part of the strategic program ADREAM developed at LAAS-CNRS and in particular within the scientific theme (department) "Networks and Communications". It includes autonomic software architectures and services for adaptive communication systems and network applications.
The challenges include mastering in particular:
 * Modeling and control of large scale and dynamic communicating systems
 * Dynamic and autonomic service-oriented component-based software architectures

Within the scientific theme "Networking and Communications" LAAS-CNRS and in line with the research priorities of the program structuring ADREAM (dynamic reconfigurable architectures for autonomous mobile embedded systems), research activities that we want to strengthen fit particular in the following two areas:
* The autonomic communication architectures. Are considered both highly constrained environments and heterogeneous dynamic and large scale contexts. The objective is to manage consistently both the requirements of applications supported by the networks and the constraints of environments in which they must operate (including real-time or energy).
* The mechanisms of adaptive protocols and services. The objective is to design for a given level of communication, protocols and basic mechanisms likely to adaptively provide communication service to a higher level of communication at the application level or at the level of the end user.
The profile includes some or all of the following skills:
+ Design, modeling and implementation of service-oriented and component-based architectures for communicating systems and distributed applications
+ Architecture Models (semantic or structural, etc..) For adaptation property management of communication services and their constituting software components
+ Architectural solutions for distributed adaptation and coordinated control
