Notification: February 11, 2015
Camera-Ready: February 23, 2015

----------------------------

SCOPE AND TOPICS

ESELAW is a forum for researchers and practitioners to report on and
discuss new research results in Experimental Software Engineering, bringing
together Latin America's academic, industrial and commercial communities.
The workshop encourages the exchange of ideas to understand the strengths
and weaknesses of software engineering technologies, focusing on the
process, design and structure of empirical studies, as well as on results
from specific studies. In this perspective, ESELAW emphasizes contributions
and original researches on Experimental Software Engineering. All
contributions will be peer reviewed.

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Studies concerned with software processes and products
- Evaluation and comparison of techniques and models (cost estimation,
analysis and design methods, testing)
- Reports on benefits derived from using specific software technologies
- Development of predictive models for software engineering
- Experiences with research methods: measurement theory, experimental
design, qualitative modelling, analysis approaches, grounded theory,
protocol studies, families of experiments
- Development, derivation and/or comparison of organizational models of
software development of industrial experience in process improvement
- Quality measurement
- Mining software repositories
- Process modelling and applications in industry
- Experience management
- Systematic reviews and evidence-based software engineering
- Simulation-based studies in software engineering
- Education and training in experimental software engineering
- Industrial experience, case studies and action-research
- New ideas regarding measurement, evaluation, comparison and development
of empirical software methods
- Infrastructures and novel techniques for conducting empirical studies
