The Department of Informatics, University of Oslo is
seeking candidates to fill a new tenure position as
Full professor or Associate Professor in the area of
energy informatics.

New professors have the opportunity to apply for a starting
grant, that includes a PhD scholarship.
HOST INSTITUTION AND ENVIRONMENT
The University of Oslo is Norway's largest and oldest
institution of higher education. Founded in 1811, today
the University of Oslo has approx. 30,000 students and
4,600 employees. Four Nobel Prize winners and two Turing
award recipients indicate the quality of the research
at the University in general and at the Department of
Informatics in particular.
The country, also known for its unique scenic beauty, has

living in the world. Oslo is considered one of the sunniest

21 degrees Celsius.
SUITABLE BACKGROUND AND REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must document scientific competence
at an associate or full professor level within computer science
in general and within energy informatics in particular. The
evaluation considers different aspects of excellence, as well
as personal drive and organizational skills.
