**** CALL FOR PAPERS AND PROPOSALS ****

SPLC 2017: 21st International Systems and Software Product Line Conference

Sept. 25-29, Sevilla, Spain

www.splc2017.net

** a special issue in a high quality journal is under negotiation **
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Systems and Software Product Line Conference (SPLC) is a premier forum where researchers, practitioners, and educators can present and discuss the most recent ideas, trends, experiences, and challenges in the area of software and system product lines engineering.

SPLC 2017 program will include three main tracks.

* Research Papers: We invite high quality submissions describing original and unpublished results in all areas related to systems and software product line engineering and variability management.

* Future of Systems and Software Product Lines: Despite its success along the past 20 years, emerging paradigms such smart autonomous systems are challenging software product line research and practice. We thus invite disruptive and vision papers based on bold arguments apart from the traditional perspective of SPL Engineering (SPLE) and reinvent the new Hall of Fame of SPL in industry.

* Industrial Systems and Software Product Lines: We are seeking contributions from industry that share their challenges, successes, and adaptations of existing practices in all stages of maturity.

SPLC 2017 will feature additional events (check www.splc2017.net for details).

* Data, Demonstrations and Tools: We solicit papers that describe either a (substantial) dataset or an academic or commercial tool to be shared with the SPLC community.

* Workshops: We encourage proposals on challenging/emerging areas which privilege interaction/collaboration.

* Tutorials: Tutorials provide a valuable opportunity for conference participants to expand their product line knowledge and skills in full-day or half-day sessions.

* Doctoral Symposium: We invite PhD students who are least in the second year of their candidature to present initial results that are not yet mature enough for a full conference paper.

* Panels: We call for panel proposals on conference-related topics.

Submissions (please check the conference website for paper kinds and sizes for each call) should follow the ACM proceedings template (http://www.acm.org/publications/proceedings-template) and will be evaluated by three reviewers of the program committee according to high scientific standards.

The SPLC proceedings will be published in the ACM Digital Library. SPLC is ranked as a top conference (see http://www.splc.net/ranking.html)

Submissions should be sent using EasyChair: https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=splc2017
