Dear SWE community,

Please submit your nominations for the following SIGSOFT awards by *December 15*, 2018.

OUTSTANDING RESEARCH AWARD. This award is presented to an individual or individuals who have made significant and lasting research contributions to the theory or practice of software engineering.

DISTINGUISHED SERVICE AWARD. This annual award is presented to an individual who has contributed dedicated and important service to the software engineering community.

INFLUENTIAL EDUCATOR AWARD. The SIGSOFT Influential Educator Award will be presented annually to an educator or educators who have made significant contributions to, and impact on, the field of software engineering with his/her accomplishments as a teacher, mentor, researcher (in education or learning), author, and/or policy maker. The award may be made to multiple collaborators for joint contributions, such as a co-authored text book.

IMPACT PAPER AWARD. The ACM SIGSOFT Impact Paper Award is presented annually to the author(s) of a paper presented at a SIGSOFT sponsored or co-sponsored conference held at least 10 years prior to the award year. In including all of SIGSOFT's conferences in the competition, this award recognizes the breadth and vitality of the software engineering community. The papers are judged by their influence since their publication.

EARLY CAREER RESEARCHER. This award is presented to an individual or individuals who have made outstanding contributions in the area of software engineering as an early career investigator.

OUTSTANDING DOCTORAL DISSERTATION AWARD. The SIGSOFT Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation Award is presented annually to the author of an outstanding doctoral dissertation in the area of Software Engineering.

FRANK ANGER MEMORIAL AWARD. In honor of our late colleague and friend, Dr. Frank Anger, the ACM Special Interest Group on Software Engineering has joined together with the ACM Special Interest Group on Embedded Systems to present the Frank Anger Memorial Award. The award provides stipends for two students, one named by each SIG, to attend the flagship conference of the other SIG. The award is meant to improve the mutual awareness of the two research communities to the opportunities and challenges emerging in complimentary research areas.
