8th IEEE Working Conference on Mining Software Repositories (MSR)
May 21-22, 2011. Honolulu, Hawaii, USA
 
EARLY REGISTRATION DEADLINE: April 15, 2011

MSR brings together researchers and practitioners with an interest in advancing the science and practice of software engineering via the analysis of data stored in software repositories. The conference is a highly discussion-oriented event and includes keynotes, invited talks, technical presentations and a mining challenge.
 
 
CONFERENCE PROGRAM
 
The MSR 2011 program includes:
 
- Keynote by Prof. Jim Whitehead (UC Santa Cruz). He will talk about computer games and opportunities for mining.
 
- Keynote by Prof. Yuanyuan Zhou (UC San Diego). She will talk about her tech-transfer experiences from copy-paste detection to checking for known bugs.
 
- 20+6 highly refereed short and long papers covering various MSR topics.
 
- 5 reports from the Mining challenge. Microsoft Research sponsored an XBOX with Kinect as prize for the best challenge paper.

CONFERENCE REGISTRATION
 
Register before April 15 to save up to 200$ of your registration cost.
 
Students and members of ACM and IEEE are entitled to reduced fees.
 
The MSR registration includes a conference dinner, which will be on the first day of the conference.
