For more than 30 years, CSEE&T has been the premier conference on software engineering (SE) education at the undergraduate,
graduate, postgraduate, and professional level. Traditionally, CSEE&T is a platform for educators in the field to explore
challenges, share experiences, discuss approaches, and generate new impulses for software engineering education & training.
Special emphasis has always been on the transfer of knowledge and pedagogical paradigms between educators.
This enables a highly interactive atmosphere including thought-provoking and highly constructive discussions with presenters and among a broad audience.

CSEE&T 2020 seeks original research papers on novel ideas, methods and techniques for software engineering education as well as education
experience & industrial training reports. Contributions may concern all fields of software engineering education, among others, university
education at graduate and undergraduate level, industrial training, as well as teaching software engineering at various kinds of secondary
schools. We invite submissions on any aspects of software engineering education and training.

The special theme of CSEE&T 2020 is “Educating for the Future”. Therefore, we particularly encourage submissions dealing with the use of
new methods and technologies to improve software engineering education and training, and we seek contributions related to the challenges
and issues when teaching these new achievements to learners.
We seek original high-quality submissions adhering to the IEEE formatting guidelines (https://www.ieee.org/conferences/publishing/templates.html),
in these categories:
All submissions should describe original work, significant results or educational experiences of theoretical, empirical, conceptual, or experimental education research in
software engineering or industrial training. The novelty of the contribution needs to be clearly described and, depending on the submission category, the results validated.

Submissions will be evaluated by at least three reviewers based on soundness, contribution, verifiability, and presentation quality.

Insufficiently blinded submissions may be rejected without review.

All submissions to other CSEE&T 2020 tracks (i.e., industrial experience reports, journal first, poster and tool papers,
as well as workshop, tutorial, and panel proposals) will be reviewed using a single-blind process.

All submissions must conform to the Author Instructions and not exceed the paper length in the respective category: https://ase.in.tum.de/cseet2020/index.php/submission/
All papers are to be submitted electronically via the EasyChair submission system https://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=cseet2020
by the submission deadline, and must not have been published before.

Workshop, Tutorial, and Panel Proposal Submissions are subject to rolling acceptance! Submit now and receive feedback within days. In the interest of a quick turn around,
submissions may be send to mailto:cseet2020organization-ase at in.tum.de

For more information please contact the Organization Committee through the email contact address mailto:cseet2020organization-ase at in.tum.de

*Publication and Presentation*
All accepted contributions in any category will be published in IEEE CSEE&T 2020 proceedings, will be indexed through the usual services,
and are subject to registration and presentation at the conference.

Oral presentations will take approximately 20 minutes with additional time of 10 minutes for discussions.
Detailed information regarding presentation times for each individual paper category will be made upon program creation.
Presentations should focus on triggering discussions for the benefit of both, the author(s) and potential adopters of the concept presented.

*Workshop, Tutorial, and Panel Proposals*
As well-established tradition, the Conference on Software Engineering Education and Training (CSEE&T) is an academic conference providing a platform
for software engineering educators as well as industrial trainers to communicate on a variety of topics and actual issues related to
software engineering education, training, and professionalism.

Presenters for these events are required to register as delegates for the conference.

*Workshop Formatting and Submission Instructions*
All workshop proposals must conform, at time of submission, to the IEEE Formatting Guidelines (http://www.ieee.org/conferences_events/conferences/publishing/templates.html).
Proposals must be written in English and not exceed 3 pages in length. They are submitted through E-Mail to mailto:cseet2020organization-ase at in.tum.de by the proposal submission deadline.

Proposals should contain:
* workshop title, objectives, duration (half or full day)
* narrative regarding the relevance of the workshop to the conference
* key organizer’s name, affiliation and a brief biography, plus the names, affiliations and brief biographies of those who will assist the organizer in the organization and conduct of the workshop (typically 1 to 4 such assistants should be sufficient)
* strategy for publication of the workshop and expected number of participants
* details of any requests for pre-workshop input (e.g. position papers) and how such will be moderated and used
* workshop activities and format
* any formal workshop outputs
* strategy for judging the workshop’s success

*Tutorial Formatting and Submission Instructions*
All tutorial proposals must conform, at time of submission, to the IEEE Formatting Guidelines (http://www.ieee.org/conferences_events/conferences/publishing/templates.html).
Proposals must be written in English and not exceed 3 pages in length. They are submitted through E-Mail to mailto:cseet2020organization-ase at in.tum.de by the proposal submission deadline.

Proposals should contain:
* brief biographies of the presenter(s) and their affiliations
* the format of the session and the proposed activities, along with anticipated time requirements
* details of any requests for pre-event input from potential attendees (e.g. questions, responses to short questionnaires)
* if appropriate, details of any proposed post-event activities or support

*Panel Session Instructions*
In general, panel sessions allow the audience to interact with panel members to provide an engaging, informative and entertaining discussion of a timely
topic from multiple perspectives. A panel proposal should introduce the moderator, list potential positions, and detail the topic and objectives for the
session, indicating how it is expected to meet the needs of the conference audience. It should also include brief biographies and position statements
from each of the proposed panelists, and a brief biography of the proposed moderator.

The total submission for a panel session should not exceed 5 pages, and the description of each accepted panel will appear in the proceedings.
The moderator and each of the panelists for an accepted panel session are required to register as delegates before 09 May 2020 and to contribute to the
panel session at the conference.

Proposals must be written in English and not exceed 5 pages in length. They are submitted through E-Mail to mailto:cseet2020organization-ase at in.tum.de by the proposal submission deadline.

*Evaluation Criteria*
Proposals will be reviewed in a separate evaluation process from research papers. Acceptance will be based on:
   * evaluation of the workshop’s potential to advance the state of research and/or practice or bridging disciplines, between research and practice;
   * timeliness and expected interest in the topic;
   * relevance to the conference topics (See the topics of interest in the ICSA 2019 conference site);
   * the potential for attracting an appropriate number of participants;
   * organizers’ ability to lead a successful workshop and attract contributors;
   * balance and synergy with other ICSA events.

A workshop, tutorial, or panel may be canceled or merged with others after the early registration deadline if too few participants have registered to make the event viable.
