The Department of Distributed and Multimedia Systems at the Faculty of
Computer Science is looking for highly motivated research assistants,
PhD candidates, for the Software Architecture Group (Prof. Dr. Uwe
Zdun). We are offering an excellent working environment in a young,
creative, highly motivated, and international team.
Duration of Employment:
4 years, 30 hours/week for Pre-Docs
4 years, 40 hours/week for Post-Docs
Areas of work:
Duties include: Participation in research projects and teaching; project
management, if qualified; publication of research results; contributing
to research proposals; development of scientific prototypes.
Research topics are: Software Architecture, Software Design, Software
Patterns, Model-Driven Development (MDD), Service-Oriented Architecture
(SOA), Domain-Specific Languages (DSL), Architectural Decisions.
Profile:
Qualifications required:
Successfully completed master or diploman in Computer Science or
Business Informatics for Post-Docs.
Successfully completed dissertation (PhD) in Computer Science or
Business Informatics for Post-Docs.
Excellent German and English language skills.
Strong motivation to work in a team environment.
Strong motivation to publish at top refereed conferences/journals.
Perseverance, focus, integrity, ability to make things done, leadership
in organization and partnership/communication with other project teams.
Additional skills: Teaching and working with students. Excellent
knowledge and interest in one or more of the research topics listed
above. Excellent knowledge and interest in programming and software
design. Proven interest in scientific work and in scientific publishing.
