CALL FOR PAPERS - MCETECH WORKSHOPS
====================================
SIXTH INTERNATIONAL MCETECH CONFERENCE ON E-TECHNOLOGIES (MCETECH2015, www.mcetech.org)
MAY 12-15, 2015, Montreal, Canada
MCETECH: The successful implementation of Internet applications is a multi-faceted problem, involving technological, managerial, economic, cognitive, social, ethical, and legal issues. The 6th edition of MCETECH aims at bringing together researchers and practitioners interested in exploring these multiple facets with a focus on the technological, managerial, and organizational issues. The technical program is now complete, and the proceedings are being published as Springer Lectures Notes on Business Information Processing (LNBIP 209).
MCETECH WORKSHOPS: In addition to the research sessions (May 14-15), MCETECH will hold a number of satellite events, including tutorials (May 12-15), an industrial networking event (May 12), and four workshops, which are solliciting research contributions/position papers:
[W11]: Cyberjustice- reconciling justice with technology (May 12).ICT provides many opportunities for the judicial system by democratizing access to justice (better access to information, and increased procedural transparency). Howerver, their impact on procedural law (evidence and procedure) and on the stakeholders of the judicial process must also be evaluated. For more information, check http://www.mcetech.org/workshops/cyberjustice.php
[W12]: MRI-BP Methodologies for Robustness Injection into Business Processes (May 12). This workshop explores methodologies for injecting robustness artifacts and mechanisms (exception handling activities, service level agreements, compensation processes, etc.) in process models through assistive or automated techniques. For more information, check http://www.latece.uqam.ca/mri-bp/
[W21]: The digital self - reconciling profiling and privacy (May 13). Our daily use of internet applications leaves numerical traces that contribute to defining an increasingly accurate profile of our life habits, consumption patterns, and opinions/likes. We aim to discuss the issues raised by profiling from the perspective of information technology, management, marketing, sociology, and political communication, to build bridges between the various disciplines and hopefully, proposing joint solutions. For more information, check http://www.mcetech.org/workshops/epersonas.php.
[W22]: Healthcare systems And Internet of Things for Humanity (May 13). This workshop aims at providing a multidisciplinary forum for exchanging ideas and sharing visions on the latest development and use of e-health and Internet of things Technologies, including: 1) the use of remote monitoring, 2) context-aware modeling, 3) reasoning in health care systems, 4) smart cities, home, and devices, 6) resilience of citizens, and 7) architectures for ubiquitous and collaborative computing. For more information, check http://www.mcetech.org/workshops/ehealth.php
VENUE: MCETECH will be held at the Montréal Hyatt Regency (http://www.montreal.hyatt.ca). Montréal is a vibrant multi-cultural metropolis boasting a unique blend of European and North American influences, and a lively mix of French and Anglo-Saxon cultures, with plenty of opportunities to wine, dine, and shop (http://www.tourisme-montreal.org).
